Yeah its a sad anime. Didn't get it at first, and thought this was fun and light b'coz of the talking kitties but it's truly sad similar to Bridge to Terabithia.
Excellent and creative animation and hypnotic music. 5 stars

this movie was great, a bit hard to understand watching it the first time. But put everything aside it is an amazing film. Not for kids, very sad cartoon, nice.
