Car Aflame in Dallas

**Edit** I have locked comments as people are missing the entire point. Those of you who had been posting your thoughts and prayers, I left these comments up. If anyone would like to express their condolences, feel free, I will make sure it gets posted. However, this is not a place to start a social media policy debate. Also for those who do not already know, this video is taken AFTER every effort to save any person(s) in the vehicle had been exhausted. As you can CLEARLY see in the video, even the commanding police officer orders his own policeman back. The fire had already been going a good 5 minutes, and I did NOT have time or concern to record anything, as i was busy running up stairwells grabbing fire extinguishers. I am truly sorry for everyone's loss. Obviously the best possible outcome here, is for the incident to never occur. However, it did happen, and people deserve the see the truth.

Happened around 1:20 am CST in Dallas @ North Central Expressway, just before Lemmon Ave. Vehicle lost control and crashed through a gate into a pole supporting power lines at the Amli apartment building. Tragically, 2 people lost their lives in this fire.

If you listen closely, you can here the police officers say "keep him talking." There is still what we all thought was only one occupant in the vehicle. Turned out there were actually 2. One of my neighbors actually helped pull 2 other male occupants to safety just prior to when i started to record video.

I was told the response time of the fire dpt, was due to distance of their location to the accident. The police station was much closer, not to mention those on duty in surrounding areas. Its crazy to think that any further forward, left, or right could have been a much more damaging accident w/ gas pipes present. ...

the response time was, in my estimation, a bit higher than it should have been. There is a station off garret (1.5 miles to the east) that could have responded. However, the Cedar Springs station (1.5 miles west) appeared to be the one that responded. All they had to do was basically come straight down Lemmon Ave... but I dont even want to open that can of worms.

Perhaps, the city should evaluate placement of stations if such a densely populated area has a 12 min response time ...

hey mam i am the brother of one of the two people pulled out of this wreck, he will live. is there anyway that you can get a hold of the person that pulled him out of the car. I would love to thank him for saving my brothers life. and thank you for this video it gave me more insight into what acctually happened.

unfortunately I dont really know anyone's name of who all helped each other diffuse the situation. My suggestion to you would be to comb thru these comments. There were a few people who responded saying they knew some of us that were on scene first.

Even though this video is gruesome, it brings some close to what really happened.

The victims of this crash (both dead and in critical condition) were either close friends of mine or graduated from my high school. I know all of these guys' families and right now, our entire community is shocked and grieving. This really is a tragedy and I will continue to pray for all the young men and their families #RIPTrey #CreekviewAmerica

Tragic accident. Not the fire departments fault he lost control. Stop trying to blame something thats unforseeable. For gods sake its an accident. RIP prayers to the families.

Dallas is the 5th busiest fire dept in the country averaging over 800 calls a day if response times are long it's because that is the closest available unit because everything else is already on a call. If people don't like it pay more taxes to open more fire stations.

The guy that died in the fire was my friends high school sweetheart. The broke up a few months ago. She found out bout this from the news. It tore her apart. RIP
