She would have received warnings for her attitude before, so she sacked herself.

Good for you David, I tell you the work ethic of some people is way out there. Someone was looking out for you when the manager happened to walk by at the right moment!!!!
-
Bravo!!! You are right on! Feel badly? It was totally her fault! I know many people who could use that job!
-
@roset85 Been there done that. Not everyone can work retail. No matter what's going on, one has to keep their cool. Most idiot customers want to take out their frustrations on someone who can't fight back or lose their job. The cooler you stay, the more they get confused lol.
-
you know before the economy crashed i would go into any store and you could never find anyone to help you but since then most places when yo walk in there are people waiting at the door falling over themselves to help so no there is no excuse fo bad service
-
good one , i know folk deserve a job out there
-
i'd do the exact same thing ;) i mean who the hell does she think she is the little skank
and i agree with you on the point where people are struggling for jobs and money and they hire someone who is typicaly a selfish little whore

Oh my goodness! That is awful. I work at a Deli to help pay for school, and if I would have done that I would not only be told off, but probably fired on the spot.
You, as a customer, are allowed to get your deli products without someone being crappy. I'm so sorry that happened to you. If you ever came to my deli, I'd make sure you got proper service!
You absolutely had the right to complain and I'm glad she lost her job. I worked hard to get my job and she threw hers away. Idiot.
-
wow lol thats crazy. I wish I was more like you. If it were me in your shoes her telling me to fuck off like that would have made me lose my temper instantly and I would have probably shouted something including very heavy swear words telling her to get off her damn phone and serve me now. That's shocking and you are totally right there is a financial crisis and people are struggling so hard to get jobs and you have these idiots who are lucky to have a job and don't even do it properly.

@OnePotChefBlog Absolutely correct, if this "llrotllort" had actually thrown a piece of ham at a customer's face, he would have been charged with assault.
-
@IIrotllort - I worked in the service industry for over a decade, and what you are saying is bollocks. ANY customer complaint is fully investigated and action taken. If you really did do what you said in your opening comment, you would have been fired immediately (and possibly charged with assault - don't laugh, I've seen it happen)
She deserved to be fired. You were TOO nice...I would have also mentioned it to the store manager..

True, there is no excuse for bad manners. Especially in Customer Service.

This made me laugh!! I love the "HELL NO"! LOL!!
David, it's a good job you don't live in the UK - everytime I go into a supermarket the fire alarm goes off and everyone has to be evacuated or there is some loon on the loose, someone is having a fight etc - on one ocassion a rotisserie chicken was slung down the tinned goods aisle. I now avoid the supermarket like the plague - I send my husband instead.

LOL sounds similar to my local shops - but I've never seen a chicken thrown around before!
Here it's mostly people going around asking where the ice cream is kept (and the staff trying not to say "try the freezer, moron!!!")
