I'll throw in another vote for John Ciardi's translation. The footnotes alone make it worth owning, I've personally worn out two copies over the last 30 years.

@MellowCruisin Allen Mandelbaum is the easiest to read in my opinion. But I love Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's translation but it is probably the hardest to read.
