  • I'm glad to see the 10ah working for your 1000W. I have a 48V 1000W on 18AH SLAs. The SLAs are capable of putting out 54 amps continuous and the 10AH V-power pack is rated at 10 amps. On paper, it looks as though the 10AH pack isn't capable of powering a 1000W, but It looks like you are getting the full 30+ amps that you need to power the bike, despite the low rated power of the pack. I see this video was a few years ago: Did the batteries keep working for you? I might need to ditch these SLAs.

  • @rocbola Ya SLA sag really bad and weigh too much for ebikes. the vpower lifepo4 i had worked great..i never had a complaint and it never quit pulling 30 amps from it. i got over 1000 miles out of the battery and sold it used when i stepped up to 72volts

  • wow DHL actually delivered something and you got it on camera to prove it, amazing lol

  • @7byseven hahaha they actually lost it for about 12 days...luckily i knew someone who's father worked for DHL or i would've never received my battery!

    thanks for watching

  • where did you get the lipo from? i need to order

  • btw, there is better, for instance, molten salt. But I have no idea when or if it will become sold here and whether they can scale this down small enough for e-bikes.There's also lithium air in research

  • @skeetab5780 I don't find my S.L.A's sag or weigh too much, and this is a bike that averages around 37mph. If you have it all in one area I agree, it would be a lot. Either way, Lifep04's have more advantages. Keep in mind, we might have even better eventually. This, I assume, will help lower the cost for the lithium.

  • @skeetab5780 lol wow not far wrong then. I followed your videos from the start and just came back for an update, seems like many years ago now. I never did build an ebike but enjoyed watching your progress and the details you went into were very interesting.

  • @BigCatsWildlife ive had alot of luck with my 10ah vpower lifepo4 but they are made of 18650 cells. so there a little heavier than lipo, and from what i read on forums there a hit or a miss. I put about 1000 miles on mine and it hardly went out of balance.

  • @skeetab5780 Yea, I did a little research on the life-Po's and lipo's, lipo's dont have that many cycles compared to the life-Po's. I use to be in the R/C hobby and well nothing touched lipo's lol. Now I know. Another question for you, when I do make my move for an e-bike, I plan on getting the 48v 20ah v-power life-PO from Ebay, is this battery pack worth its big bucks, I dont want to spend $500 on junk, lol. Anyway love the vids, keep it up.
