diddymuck. I know many people who became much better people by opening their minds the way Leary instructed. He didn't want people to simply party, he talked about having profound spiritual experiences. Yes, some people abused the drugs but as a whole, the 60's brought about a great enlightenment. Without Leary's influence, the entire Aquarian movement which continues in various forms to this day, would never have happened. Why do you hate him so much? Is it that you had a bad drug experience?

@diddymuck I met Leary personally and let me tell you, he was still an intellectual force. You have no direct evidence to support your view. He was a brilliant, forward-thinking, eccentric but kind man and you add nothing but negativity. I don't know why you are so intent on mudslinging but it's beginning to look like you have a real problem. @diddymuck I'd wager he knew ungodly amounts of information on psychedelic experiences and was very intelligent on what he had experienced and deciphered it in a way that is pretty impressive. Being intellectual doesn't always have to deal with walking around a college campus with books and shining light on people through your vast knowledge of whatever you consider to be important.
