  • That overlapping thumb thing just looks mad uncomfortable, I make a personal habbit of correcting myself if I find meself doing this...

  • @spiralmc No you're right, I'm a full-time illustrator now and when you spend hours upon hours drawing your hand actually can't take it. Took me a while to learn why he holds it this way, and now I occasionally do this also lol

  • @wheresmycheesecake he probably holds it that way because he grips the pencil too hard the conventional way. Gripping the pencil too hard eventually just cramps the hell out of your hand. (stop laughing) it happens to me so I had to learn to hold the pencil a different way so it won't cramp my hand. just my theory.

  • is wizard world the same as comic con ???

  • Gotta be strange having somebody (mostly silently) hovering over you with a camera while you draw. Guys like JSC are probably somewhat accustomed to that sort of thing, but it'd freak me out.

  • @Rowlannnn21 Yeah, watching him do it makes me want to cut my own hand off and throw it out to the feral cats we have living in the yard. One of them is orange.

  • OH MY GOD He's using a graphgear 1000 !!! I have that pencil !

Now I shall draw awesome !

  • maybe he holds his pencil like that to avoid smudges. :/

  • Jim Lee and Bruce TImm are my favs, but this guy is really interesting. although the original version of harley is my fave

  • i can never properly draw if i hold a pencil like that. great artist though. jim lee draws cleaner XD
