Rewilding ran really well for Andre Fabre in the 3 races that he raced in, in France. A win at Maisons-Laffitte, and two 2nd's behind Handsome Devil and Planteur at Longchamp. But it's been in Great Britain that Rewilding has really shown what he's capable of. Really thumping the Cocked Hat Stakes field at Goodwood, and this field at York. A little disappointing in the St Leger, but there's no doubt he's talented. Wouldn't be surprised to see Rewilding as Godolphin's entry in the 2011 Arc.
@eazilyiapproach, I was looking at the St Leger odds just today. Joshua Tree is getting some backing off of his Great Voltigeur Stakes run. Right now at 8-1 last I checked.
@GBeret83 I had wondered what had happened to Joshua Tree, I really thought highly of him after his Royal Lodge. I didn't know what was going on with him but I thought his race here will set him up really well....
Rewilding won this race pretty impressively. But Midas Touch is the horse I really see a huge improvement in. Two outstanding 2nd place efforts over 12 furlongs in this race and the Irish Derby. I think the 14+furlongs of the St Leger will suite him well. I also think Dandino will be suited well to that distance. The most talented horse in the St Leger will be Cape Blanco. The question for him is whether or not he can stay the 14+furlongs of the race at Doncaster? If he can? Cape Blanco win's.
