Because he isn't a true basketball analyst. He thinks like more of a baseball analyst. He uses stats and stats only to judge how players and teams are and will be in the future. The difference between basketball and baseball is that there are intangibles. He also doesn't think logically in his power rankings. He doesn't base his power rankings on how teams did in a certain period, he just bases them on differentials which is an absolute joke.
