At long last, the Gypsy is here. From Provo Craft, Gypsy is a portable tool that works with your Cricut machine for easy designing.

Recorded on July 28, 2009 using a Flip Video camcorder.

  • To use the Gypsy, do I have to have the cartridge to plug into the Gypsy, do I use the Gypsy and do not need the cartridge, 3 of us shared our cartridges and put them ontheone Gypsy. One of us moved and took 2/3 of the cartridges with her. now we have them onhte gypsy but do we have to have them to use plan what we want to cut out. Is the Gyspy a stand alone unit and you do not need the cartridge. is this is true great. If you have to have the cartridge. then HSN has done a great unjustice.

  • I just got my Gypsy and, after updating it, I find LOADS of cartridges are now uploaded for me. Including 3 from Martha Stewart, one of which (the All Occasions) I was actually waiting on ebay for the auction to end so I could bid on! This has saved me at least £60, amazing. Is this right? I was only told I get 5 free if I reg before Feb 28th this year?

  • Yes, you can only upload the cartridges one time. If you buy a cartridge used from someone and they've already uploaded it to their gypsy, you won't be able to upload it to yours. You can however, still use it on your Cricut. :)

  • what does he means "it can only work with one gypsy unit" ? in 0:58, does it means that you can only link the cartriges once? we can't share?

  • I LOVE the gypsy... pick me! pick me! pick me! I gotta say I absolutely LOVE the cricut... I have been having so much fun with it...

  • I hope Santa gets my letter on time and puts a Gypsy under the tree for me :-)

  • It sounds very interesting. Would like to see more before spending the money for this one.

  • What a great product!! The video was very informative. The product is a little pricey but probably worth the money. Merry Christmas to me? Hmm, we'll see. Thanks for all the great tutorials you provide. They really help.

  • i have seen a number oif videos on the gypsy..it is the most protable idea i have seen...i go to a lot os scrapbooking places and have to take cricut (of course) and the cartridges weigh more than the machine and take up more than twice the space..i would love to have one ..not sure when i will be able to afford one ....AWESOME idea keep up the good work

  • this looks like so much fun and easy to lug around to cropping events
