For more planted aquarium topics, visit www.projectaquarium.com. In this video, I go over some steps to building a DIY ADA style aquarium stand. I used this stand for this layout. http://www.projectaquarium.com/plantedAquarium_Nameless.aspx

  • What about the bottom? Clearly you put something under the cabinet, to lift it couple more inches off the ground.

  • @schtals It is just another piece of plywood.

  • Where did you get the Formica?

  • @zarethd I got it at Lowes.

  • @Danight1761 Love me some Halo!! Working on getting 1,000gp for CE Anniversary right now!

  • best part about the audio of this vid was halo Music

  • nice video bro, im thinkin of doing one of these myself but with brushed stainless laminate and shadow lines running through the end gables aswell, check my vids on custom tank stand builds coming soon :-)

  • SOOO CASH

  • @SpearWieldingOctopus If the aquarium got over 75 or so gallons I would probly double up the plywood to create 1.5" walls, but that is probly an overkill. Keep in mind that Wood glue is stronger than the wood itself if there is enough surface area from proper adhesion. The biscuits allow for this. Use quality 3/4" OAK HARDWOOD plywood and it will hold anything you put on it.

  • @ProjectAquarium Thanks for replying:) But to hold up a big aquarium? But for how long? Sorry I'm in a little disbelief over how easy this looks... Is this similar to ADA's stand construction too? this is blowing my mind!
