From 'A New Sound Of An Old Instrument' (1979)

Moondog was the pseudonym of Louis Thomas Hardin (May 26, 1916 September 8, 1999), a blind American composer, musician, cosmologist, poet, and inventor several musical instruments. Although these achievements would have been considered extraordinary for any person, Moondog further removed himself from society through his decision to make home on streets York approximately twenty thirty years he spent in city.   • @DanteMoodyFilms Unfortunately I never got the chance to meet him. All I can say is my grandpa - Moondog's brother - was an incredible human being and the smartest person I have ever met, and I'm sure Moondog was the same way.
