This film has three women climbing stairs of an industrial warehouse to find the person responsible for the murder of 'God' who's subsequent death has dispersed his energy among regular people giving them the ability to perform miracles and will acts just by conceiving them. The abuse of this power among the population quickly made it a post-apocalyptic environment and the person responsible seems to be inhibiting the ascent of the three women as they become more and more fatigued and psychologically broken the further they climb. This premise for a movie is really amazing and cost-effective for a director with limited funding and the constant rise to some superlative summit reminds me of Christian Rosenkreutz's 'Chymical Wedding'. While a general complaint is that the mood in the film is slow, it is entirely intended to be. You can kind of feel the exhaustion of these women more so with each scene. Most of the dialogue is some sort of silly fodder philosophy that would only seem profound to an audience under intense hallucinogens but it doesn't detract from the atmosphere. I didn't gleam any sort of revolving notion, theme, or tell-tale sign that there was something more imbedded within the film that I missed. I tried to watch the commentary but Karim says 'uhhhhhhh' loudly almost between every sentence which really annoyed me but I did get the impression that he intended to convey something that I may have missed. Either way, I think the concept of the movie was just so good and coupled with a great soundtrack and interesting visuals I found it to be a great cinematic endeavor although debating over such a films meaning would be arguably an apophenia.
