I had the leap procedure 2/15/2012 @ 12pm(moderate dysplasia/small area on my cervix). The procedure last for about 5 to 10 minutes but it doesn't seem like it; my cervix was numbed with lidocaine I only felt the needle once but it wasn't bad at all. Praying helped me so I can say that this procedure went well I been taking tylenol and resting for the day; but no real bad bleeding or cramps. My doctor explain to me that this procedure is highly unlikly to will cause problems during pregnancy.

Feb 10, 2012. At 12:30 pm I had the Leep procedure done as well as a D@C due to being at stage 3 (which progressed quickly). I had it done as day procedure. Woke up felt great, no pain, cramping or discomfort. 7 hours later still feel great will take Tylenol before bed. (Advil not allowed as it is a blood thinner). I recommend day surgery. If I do end up with any major pain or cramping I will put another comment up in the morning. I hope this post encourages others to get the procedure done!

@frankiesgirl72685 they tried to give me Ibuprofen 800s, but they cause severe stomach bleeding and heart attacks so I asked for hydrocodone instead

I'm glad that people have created more leep talks on youtube and I have received this many views for people in need. To answer the question I didn't mention I did this procedure with no anesthesia.

I have a question. I have never gave a birth. Some doctors say that before the first pregnancy the cervix excision is disallowed. After I have my first baby I can take this procedure. It this true?
Today I went to see another doctor. He said that electronic excision is okay even u haven't give birth yet. But cryotherapy and cauterization is for those who already had birth before. It this true?

@uyangapurevjav I don't know I have given birth before and got this procedure. I believe they base the procedure upon the severity of the cells. But I do know that sometimes if you have a leep then get pregnant it is possible to go into premeditated labor because the cervix might try to open

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR? I GOT THE PROCEDURE ON THE 12TH OF THIS MOUNTH AND IM STILL HURTIN AND HOW MUCH DO YOU BLEED?
belizzeanfatmama 1 year ago
@belizzeanfatmama I bled for about a week or so. The pain was gone just after a few days. If you are still hurting after this long maybe you should call your gyn.
