the only bad thing about that game i that it makes people think playing the game is more fun than the instrument
(which is kind of a lot imo)
the good thing about this game is that it exposes young people to good music thats so old that they wouldn't know about it. Songs like YYZ and Barracuda are amongst the best ever made but if it weren't for guitar hero modern people wouldn't know about them!
(that more than makes up for it, imo)
Plus it's fun as hell.
Even if you suck at it, which i do

In my day boy, we didn't have any fancy video games!!! We just taped up an old sock and hit at it with a broom stick... that was living I say!!!
Other than that we basically spent the day just your character did... just having a good time doing nothing !!!

Yeah, all those rhythm games are so fun. Playing Guitar Hero for a while got me a little better at my bass guitar.
