As a founding member of the rock band Chicago, Danny Seraphine has pioneered the jazz rock drumming style. These DVDs feature classic fills and grooves by the man who created them.
Danny Seraphine is known as the pioneer of the jazz rock drumming style who co-founded the rock group Chicago Transit Authority in the late 60's. Their self-titled debut album was released the following year, featuring a unique blend of jazz-tinged instrumentals, extended jam sections, and Seraphine's signature drumming style—all together serving as the catalyst to platinum sales status and heavy radio airplay during the group's early years.
Special features in the two-DVD set include an interview hosted by Terry Bozzio, drum jam with Seraphine and Bozzio, and downloadable drum notation excerpts outlining grooves to songs such as "25 or 6 to 4," and "I'm a Man." As bonus, four MP3 audio files minus drums are included for play-along with the new CTA (California Transit Authority).
