  • I'm also disabled.

I think the point is not to be proud of the disability, but rather of the inner strength that it typically requires.

Besides which, Disabled Pride seems a welcome corrective to the more usual position: Disabled Shame.

  • I'm disabled myself and I don't see the point in this movement. What's there to be prideful of a disability? So many disadvantages.

  • Disabled Pride yeah!!!

  • Try to imagine having a great and full life, but everyone around you constantly tells you, your life sucks and they. It gets old really quickly. Disability pride is about saying. dont feel sorry, my life is great.

  • yeah!

  • Box, I believe the "Disabled and Proud" quote is somewhat confusing. I know it was to me. I was told this quote is referring to being proud of the accomplishments made by them. I feel this quote should be changed to reflect what is truly meant.
