PACS 164A: Introduction to Nonviolence - Fall 2006. An introduction to the science of nonviolence, mainly as seen through the life and work of Mahatma Gandhi. Historical overview of nonviolence East and the West up to the American Civil Rights movement and Martin Luther King, Jr., with emphasis on the ideal of principled nonviolence and the reality of mixed or strategic nonviolence in practice, especially as applied to problems of social justice and defense.

  • @Blighnaut lecture 16 has copy protected content from fox tv so it has been blocked from viewing.

  • At the UC Berkeley site you can find a guest lecture by Dr. MP Mathai on The State of Gandhian Movement In India. I think this is the 16th.

  • I highly recommend this one. It covers religious philosophy fundamentals. Besides, it is fun to watch the TA unconsciously mimic Naglerisms!

  • I'd recommend skipping this one. As with most TA run classes this one devolves into a thousand questions/tangents vaguely related to the topics at hand.  You'll get most of it from watching the other lectures.
