On the eve of the National Equality March on Washington D.C., President Barack Obama addressed the crowd at the annual Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Dinner Gala. His 22-minute speech included his advocacy for LGBT equality under federal law; the legitimacy and equal-protection of gay and lesbian committed relationships; a promise of the passage of Hate Crimes Legislation; and the dissolving of Don't Ask Don't Tell. This video is edited together to just include his entrance applause and his closing statements. October 10, 2009 at the Washington D.C. Convention Center.
