  • This is so fucking BIASED!! I'm for humane treatment but this report is crap! lets hear from the victims and not random opinions from the public. The person who made this video is not only biased in opinion but lazy.

  • Fritz Springmeier said that ECT was a major factor in CIA monarch mind-control programs.

  • All these street side people have no knowledge...they don't know how it has turned so many lives around .....including mine! The only thing is, it should work for you! SO KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!

  • You idiots. ECT saves lives.

  • @shaylefaerie tbh if it helps them in the long run without brain dammage or anything, why not.

  • hey well my mom had ect therapy and now she forgets things all the time and i think its fuck up to let it go on they should outlaw it

  • I don't think that it is fair for people not to be able to choose if they want electro shock therapy.

  • @tony711978 The point of this video was to show public ignorance on the "issue."

disclaimer: I have received numerous ECT treatments (20+) which helped me out of the hospital and out of psychosis and catatonia. If you're wondering why I received so many, it's because I received a 3-week long series of treatments (which are each 5 seconds long BTW) with incremental improvements and noticable difference around the 15th treatment. Educate yourself.

  • @qttytn This is a panel of well trained experts!

  • All this proves is that ill-informed pundits aren't worth listening too

  • @bobbieluvselvis I'm very glad to hear your depression is in remission and I wish you well.

I will add that since my last comments I have experienced a rotation in psychiatry as a medical student. I have personally performed ECT and witnessed the positive and negative effects it can have. I still think that it should be used in some cases.

  • I personally have taken 2 courses of ECT, 14 treatments each. For me this was a HUGE contributor to my ongoing recovery. I am chronically depressed, and medication resistant. My last treatment was almost 5 years ago, and I have had no depressive episodes, since. I have had cognitive therapy, and am now on a anti-depressant, that keeps me fully functioning. I would like to say that I am a firm believer in medication and therapy. My depression is PTSD induced, BUT it is also clinical.
