  • it looks like u have to jump out pretty far or is the place where u jump from over hang

  • its a good over hang, we scoped out along the edge and that was the best spot. we even even tied a rock to a rope to see how deep it was, and it was deeper than the rope.

  • what kind of effects could jumping into water from that height have on a person?

  • i read an article about a guy who jumped from 70ft and died, that had to be an awkward landing. and i heard about a chick who jumped from 50 landed bad, and was paralyzed. I think this jump was 70 or 80ft. I jumped it (Dylan's Cliff Jump) and landed just a little off, worst pain of my life, concust, couldnt breathe right, and my back was jacked up, laid up in bed for 2 or 3days.

  • Another wildman, it takes skill for people to cliff dive or high dive but this jumper pulled it off. Thanks for the entertainment gentlemen.

  • @Gavinbck11 There are some cliffs around a 100' within walking distance of Walling Bend & u can even EASILY climb up the side of the cliff not too far away (if I can climb it AHY1 can!) but there are some downsides to it: U have to walk through a cactus patch to get there from Walling Bend; you'll get a HUGE fine if caught; and the Texas droughts have lowered the water levels so it's not smart to jump those anymore; and if u don't go in perfectly u will get hurt, paralyzed or die

  • @MrsNikkiEaton whether it's a 30' or 100' drop it's all the same to me.

As long as you GO STRAIGHT IN and are SOBER and NOT HIGH and know for a fact there is nothing underwater to impale you, it is one of the most exhilarating seconds of your life! (I've never parachuted out of a plane tho)

Altho my 1st jump off the 100 footers (down form Walling bend past the cactus patch) did not end very well - I had my arms spread out instead of by my side: red welts galore! & NEVER look DOWN

  • i live in lake whitney and have seen one too many people jump drunk or high and die. and then there are the idiots that dnt bother to think about the tree stumps, rebar or other crap below. ive watched as they pulled a girl who got impaled....especially when the water is low. no offense, but whoever jumped this is an idiot, i dnt care what "precautions" you took.

  • Is that over by walling bend at whitney?

  • Will someone please tell me what part of the lake this is. I went to soldiers bluff at lake whitney and only found 30 ft cliffs. Anyone?

  • i live in whitney and see some crazy stuff when these ppl start jumpin off these big cliffs...props to the ones that have the courage to do it..u wont see me out there lol

  • The most I've jumped at that lake is ten feet off of a tiny "island" out in the lake.

I did climb around about thirty feet up over in the winding riverlike area nearby where this was shot. Being a reckless 13 year old is some fun shit..... XD

  • thats like 110 feet

  • @kblakleyk916 no shit. whitney is a party lake and drunk boaters are everywhere.
