  • So, I'm a redneck. I've never gave a crap about the environment, never cared about the finite resources we use to maintain our standard of living. Your videos and ernest attempt to reach people, which has been highly successful from what I can tell, are absolutely amazing. I also enjoyed the videos on exponential growth under your profile.

I will do what I can to help the precipitate the exponential growth of awareness in my ring of friends. Here's hoping the pyramid scheme works. XD

  • YOU ARE SO COOL, MAN!

  • @chesterinoaussie Ehh depends on the way you do it. If it's initially a small tax, say 1 cent per ton then it'll have minimal effect on the economy. Then have everyone who has a carbon licence should be able to reduce their footprint by making programs such as planting etc using the money they lost from the tax. Once the footprint goes down, the tax can be raised with the same minimal effect because there's not as much carbon, rinse and repeat. When successful, it'll move on to other countries.

  • How 'bout we each ask each and every policy-maker (Senators for instance) how it's coming along. People from around the world can write to Leon Panetta too. Now HE is cool. Do your research on him. I'm a crazy enthusiast for what he can do for the environment.

  • @karahard A carbon tax does not work. Dealing with global warming should be done by purely positive means for those who opt in to helping the environment. Punishing the world only breeds contempt for the issue. They are doing it in Australia and it is going to be a complete waste of money- our carbon emissions are squat compared to China, USA etc. This will just lower our standard of living exponentially (everything becomes more expensive when carbon is taxed) and make no effect on the problem.

  • Indeed. How WOULD you feel if you look back in 20 years and see that, in fact, your video series WAS the tipping point where public opinion swayed enough in support of the 'green initiative' that the New World Order folks were finally ABLE to get the cap-and-trade tax system in place, which ultimately became the basis for government control over EVERYTHING that uses energy? As well as reproduction licensing (babies are bad for the environment, you know.)

    It does make me wonder...

  • @karahard hurrhurr derpa derp durrrr

  • the carbon tax is just that one more tax but this time it is A WORLD TAX!

  • you have been sold LOAD OF MANURE - there is NO SUCH A THING AS global warming! there is never going to be any way of carbon hitting the fan my frend! it is a scheme to transfer MONEY from the LARGE economies to those lesser ones to move everyone to a global economy!

  • you have been sold LOAD OF MANURE - there is NO SUCH A THING AS global warming!

  • This is a great theory and it looks good on paper but ino it won't necessarily make the situation any better in the long run. At this point with our addiction to oil and the powers that be, greedy with money on their mind the only choice that WILL happen is the lower right hand corner. We need to go through some major changes and see the end of the world as we know it to really change our ways, our governments and clean the slate for our future generations.
