  • I've just done the mod, works great-finally I can do finger drumming. I used black matt electrical tape with two layers. Had to lossen some screws up, so my only tip is screw the screws back until they first tighten.

    THANKS!

  • @BudCr0w Yes I never thought of loosening the screws a bit to remove some pressure. Nice glad it worked out well for you.

  • okay, just got done with the mod... and although it feels EXACTLY the same, I get no more double triggers. So my hat's off to you regardless.

  • @salazam Glad it worked out for you!

  • I just wanted to say thanks for doing this video. I like the how portable the LPD is but its frustrating to have to hit the pads so hard just to get a sound.

I'm going to make this modification to my LPD this weekend. I'm so excited! ... Lol

  • @locnesbeats Awesome! Hope it works out well for ya! let me know how it goes =)

  • not that it will make the pads softer but it will make the sound come out quicker with pressing hard.....i hope lol

  • im pretty sure its a way you can do this without opening it. it should be on the software that came with it.

  • @TheRicoStatus Actually it didn't. I got a Korg padKontrol. The difference is night and day.

  • hahaha, I JUST got my lpd8 in the mail right now and plan on cracking it open immediately. (obviously I hooked it up to Logic first to see how sensitive it was)

One thing I've noticed is it's double triggering... is that a common thing? Does it go away with more sensitive keys? Or do I have a defective unit?
