I prefer the sound of the EST GEN over anything else really- I think they are cute, and attractive to look at. I can tolerate the Wheelock AS series, but the GEN is the best!! Great vid.

@CrazyAlarmDude Wheelock still makes a vibratory horn, in fact it's the 34T if I remember right. Many companies still produce bells as well.

I hear a lot of handling noise from the microphone in this video. If it is a dynamic mic being used, how does it perform with the microphone on the ground, right up to the fire alarm?

@TheElectricalKid Yeah they have a smoke alarm at radio shack that does like a beeping tone and you record your own voice evac on it and when it goes off it does the toning for a little bit and then it plays the recorded voice evac. i think the tone is like 800hz though.
