Review: Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360)

Lost Odyssey is quite possibly one of the most beautiful games on the planet and while we were happy with a written review, we thought we'd give you a video review so you can see just what it's like.

We will say as a precursor that the review edition we were sent is likely to be slightly different from the version you buy. Inconsistencies like inventory control and load times are part of the fall out so if they're improved in the copy you buy, it's because the edition we got isn't quite the same.

Lost Odyssey is a Masterpiece. It is seriously astounding to me how underrated this game is.

The fact he is immortal doesn't change basic game concepts like game-overs for example. He can still be hurt and knocked out, he just can't die. It just changes his perspective on those around him and well as creates a unique story. As the story progresses, the theme of immortals and humans really touches you in that it will make appreciate life. It's definitely a unique angle that hasn't been done before in any other RPG.

Worst battle system in jrpg is FF14's by far!! Too much happening on the screen and just general chaos with player pressing buttons like a downie. Lost Odyssy's battle system is just perfect. Like it was back in the day with most jrpgs. Why cant FF go back to this simpler and much more enjoyable fighting system?
