I'm guessing you have to have gary willis's bass (ergonomic like) in order pull of his technique. I don't think I've seen anyone else play "Willis" style with another type of bass....?

You can apply the Willis technique on any bass, but the ramp is recommended.

Otherwise, there has also GWB35, not as good as GWB1005, but it's a great bass for its price

as for them being expensive..... that is what makes owning one so special.... as not everyone has one. No, I do not have one..... yet.

you can do what I did and sand all the black off...once you do that It looks just like the 1005 model....just a thought

Yeah, I've been thinking of buying one. Too bad that it doesn't have the natural wood look though. Have you tried it out?
