The voyage to France of Tenzin Gyatso, better known as the Dalai Lama, has drawn plenty of comment, good and bad. Loved or loathed, at 73, the Nobel Peace Prize winner likes to present himself as a simple Buddhist monk. But he has become a global celebrity. Before heading back to India, his home in exile for 50 years, the Dalai Lama spoke to euronews, and explained some of his views on life.

  • Every time I hear him speak, his optimism, his humbleness and his infectious smile It gives me hope for the future of humanity. It is sooo very sad that such a man is viewed as the enemy. People should be striving to be more like him and not against him. He is a such a noble being.

  • lol If the dorje shugdun supporters would actually listen to his holiness's reasoning and broke it down with logic like the buddha has instucted us to do you would realize he does not discriminate.. he simply has other idea's..if any man on earth CLAIMS to be a buddha then he cannot be...his holiness is a simple munk it is human beings that place other labels on him.. he did not choose to be the dalai lama.

  • @Donkeygamers Yes lets leave it there.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot

Hm, I think that is a matter of opinion.

But I will let it there.

  • @Donkeygamers Fair enough sir but may say one thing. Yes there is no peace in fighting but sometimes in order to gain peace one must fight.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot

There is no peace in fighting.

Anyway, I will end this discussion here, it leads to nothing.

I am no muslim, so I think I said enough about it.

  • @Donkeygamers Prohibits enslavement? True they say that they don't like it but it's quet clear that they have had and still have great many slaves.

A slave is someone who can not be who he is, can't do what they want, can't make up there own minds, someone who has to ask permision of a male to be able to do anything. The Shariah has many rules on how muslim males should dominate the rest.

I love peace and i am willing to fight for it just as we have done in the past.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot

I am no Muslim, and I am for peace in any way.

But you are the one saying that others are "blindly believing in a cult", yet, you seem not to know that the islam itself prohibits enslavement and violence.

If a radical islamist for instance attacks someone of a different belief, he does disobey the quran.

You wouldn't say it's the gouvernments fault if someone breaks the law either, right?

No one should destroy or hate on anything at all.

    Peace.

  • @Donkeygamers Learn tolerance? I respeact all color, race and people but if some cult wants to destroy what my ancestors have fought for i will stand against that cult and bring it to the ground!!

I have read your book and i find it an intresting book on how to keep slaves. Many muslims are good people no doupt but same can not be said to what you so blindly belive in.

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot

Your speech was not peaceful at all. Learn tolerance.

The Islam promotes peace, many islamists, however, do not.

  • The Dalai Lama is a man I truly revere and is legacy will live on for an eternity.

  • @antakyusilo He promotes freedom because he wants freedom for his country, For all people. The temple? His temple is in Tibet. If he returns he will be killed. Islam is about as peacefull as a nuke in a hand of a North Korean general. Fuck your cult. You know nothing of peace and freedom. You cult will soon come to an end.
