r. Diana Eck, Professor of Comparative Religion and Indian Studies at Harvard University and Director of the Pluralism Project, reflects on the ever expanding American landscape of religious pluralism and how a "Christian" country has become a multireligious one.
All faiths are not due respect. In fact, none are due respect. Religions are opinions based on old texts that are repeatedly used to suppress or undermine the legitimate process of scientific inquiry. This idea that we need to respect and encourage all faiths is misleading and dangerous to our culture. Islam and Christianity both encourage homophobia and racism. It's a huge crock of crap.
