  • hey u ppl in london, why dont u get together wid the punjabis there, i want to hear some dhol-djembe collabos. esp sufi dhol style like pappu saeen, look him up on youtube, its explosive stuff, i cant imagine pairing up desi and african rhythms

  • Actually what they're playing is Yankadi/Makru. The faster part is Makru. They are usually played back and forth this way. It's really nice to see the dance that goes with this.

  • This is Baba from Ghana at Camden Market - sadly this particular spot is now closed - I believe they are playing Nankiri, then it goes into Kuku...?
