  • @jessondrums how do you like the Z-crashes? I bought some Z cymbals 2nd hand, they sound great but so damn loud. and the ride is so heavy that it feels like hitting solid metal and it breaks my sticks. Maybe I should go back to A series but they are a bit fragile.

  • @Dieterbe hey buddy, i only have one Z custom crash and its a 17' rock crash, so yeah its pretty heavy compared to the As and Ks that make up my set up. I wouldnt get any other Zs mainly because theyre too heavy for me really.

  • HOLLY FILLS BATMAN!

  • Before i saw you're a woman,i thought this story was strange and nice...

  • @rustinvrede

Hey loser, go crawl back under the rock where you were born.

  • @alexakaseme1 LOL what are you talking about....if his fills weren't good nor smooth he wouldn't have his dvd out and he wouldn't be playing on all the sessions and tours he's been on.

  • @slashdelbarrio Everyone who have problems with sticks break, try vincent sticks ;) I promisse, it`s worth trying ;)

  • @Dieterbe I completely switched my technique to play my Sig Ride (I used to play on an Armand) I have it set up high and very tilted, like Colaiuta or Nicko McBrain. In that way I can control my stroke more and avoid hitting it as hard as if my arm is coming from higher in a regular position, and as there is no need to crash it because you can't simply crash a 4kg cymbal, the tilted position is much more comfortable for playing the bell. And play with love!

  • Man I love how his drums sound. Especially that snare! I may have to try out an ebony head on one of my snares. Sounds much thicker.

  • @slashdelbarrio Weird. I also play with vicfirth 5A. I have the impression that the ride is such a heavy cymbal that even with careful playing, the necks of my sticks break soon. The cymbal has some headroom to wiggle, although I don't install it too loosely (I make sure the edge doesn't go deeper than 8cm or so from its base position, otherwise it hits my floortoom), I bought a huge amount of sticks when they were at half price, that was 5 years ago or something. maybe the sticks age?

  • @Dieterbe What sticks do you play with? I used to play on my Sig Paiste Power Ride with 5a ProMarks and they broke in about 3 or 4 rehearsals. I have recently switched to VicFirth 5a and they last MUCH longer, and I'm a natural hard hitter
