  • @MrEnlighteneddespot The English term "sodomy" (the word that was replaced in 1952 to homosexual) did not and does not refer to homosexuality it refers solely to anal intercourse which applies to both male and female. The prohibition on Sodomy was more to do with the Catholic church's prohibition on contraception and Anal intercourse has been one of the most popular forms of contraception since time began

Really read the Bible in context, stop twisting Scripture.

  • @MrEnlighteneddespot Oh so you changed the Bible? As you said 'they are still sins, just that the death penalty part was repealed' than you say by Christ. Show me exactly where in the Bible Jesus say 'I repeal the OT death rules or similar' Really not only pick and choose but change as you wish.

I'm going to give you the definition of sodomy in a 2nd post.

    God's use of sex what!!

Wow are you for real with your crap Christianity or what.

  • @chicraig6421 They are still all sins, just that the death penalty part was repealed by Christ who said 'let he without sin, you may cast the first stone'. You can love a person of the same sex. You can even live in the same house and hold hands! What you cannot do, and what the Bible condemns, is commit the act of sodomy. That perverts God's use for sex which is pro-creation and unity to become one flesh. Two men cannot become one flesh, nor can two women. We do not even discuss pro-creation.

  • To all who say the Bible doesn't talk about homosexuality being a sin. What is the 1st scripture in this video talking about.? Romans 1 v 26-27.Denial of Bible scripture by a pastor that will marry in the name of the Biblical God is an oxymoron. I didn't write it I am simply pointing out that John Mac not twisting scripture he is taking a Biblical stand. That is what a proper Christian pastor MUST do or he is not trustworthy. If God can be changed to fit any persons desire we have no God.Sorry

  • @MrEnlighteneddespot If you believe Lev is still in tact today - did you want to toss the 1st stone?

Did you want to pick and choose other verses so you can stone those who get divorced and re-married?

Did you want to pick and choose other verses so you can stone those who are adulterers?

Did you want to pick and choose other verses so you can stone those who marry and are not virgins?

You will need a whole lot of stone won't you?

Oh wait you have to be without sin to cast the 1st stone.

    Really

  • @MrEnlighteneddespot Wow I agree with you, -put Christ's desires before mine- yes I agree. Christ created me as He did everything and He made me gay and put me on His earth to do His work. Christ brought my partner and myself together and we got married-Iowa- in His Church by one of His ministers. We agree.

Where we disagree is on homosexuality being a sin - it is not a sin to be homosexual, nor it is a sin to fall in love with the same sex. There is no gay sin or straight sin, sin is sin.

  • @chicraig6421 You don't have to hide who you are, or try to live a heterosexual lifestyle. What you have to do is put Christ's desires before your own and in doing so become celibate. The Bible actually describes celibacy as a perfectly adequate lifestyle, and how many are called to live such a life. Ruth and Naomi, and other such examples, refer no more to philia relationships. As Christ said: 'If any man wishes to follow me, let him deny himself' i.e. love God more than you love yourself.

  • @chicraig6421 Then please explain Matt 19:5, Luke 16, Jude 1:7, Genesis 19, 1Corinthians 6:9, Romans 1, and of course Leviticus 18:22 which refers to the moral law under Moses still in tact to this day. I repeat once again that I am not equating homosexuality to pedophilia, just explaining how your premise of uncontrollable sexual attraction does not justify the act of sin.

  • @chicraig6421 I told u once and I'll tell u again- I STAND FIRMLY ON GOD'S HOLY WORD. Really, really? YES I DO!! Stop 'googling' what u want to know about homosexuality and BEGIN by reading the TRUTH frm the TRUTH. Genesis is the beginning alllllll the way to Revelation. IT'S NOT HARD TO DO. IN FACT, IT'S EXCITING GETTING TO KNOW OUR GOD- WHO HE IS & WHAT HE STANDS FOR. NOT WHAT WE WANT HIM TO BE. I don't deny that He loves us, BUT we ALL still hav to make a choice. My choice? God/Jesus.

  • @chicraig6421 BTW... When u say that as a Christian I should know that [Levi] died on the Cross w/ Jesus. U assuredly must mean as we, 'born-again' believers in Christ are "born-again". Which means that we also 'die' on the Cross w/Jesus. Because u can't possibly be talkin about Levi(as in the tribe of Levi-that supplied the priests for Israel), son of Jacob & brother of Joseph(the second most powerful person-under Pharaoh,King of Egypt). Holiness is mentioned 152 times in the Book of Leviticus.
