Portrait study ---- Portrait Studie
Soundtrack: California Blue - Roy Orbison

Lyrics:
Working all day and the sun don't shine
Trying to get by and I'm just killing time
I feel the rain fall the whole night through
Far away from you california blue

California blue dreaming all alone
Nothing else to do california blue
Everyday I pray I'll be on my way
Saving love for you california blue

One sunny day, I'll get back again
Somehow, someway but I dont know when
California blue california blue

Living my life with you on my mind
Thinking of things that I left far behind
It's been so long doing all I can do
To get back to you california blue

California blue dreaming all alone
Nothing else to do california blue
Everyday I pray I'll be on my way
Saving love for you california blue

One sunny day I'll get back again
Somehow, someway but I dont know when
California blue california blue

Still missing you california blue

  • what type of clay are you using?

    Is it self drying?

  • @rck12369

It's mineral clay, similar to the sorts used for pottery. It's self drying, but always in danger of developing cracks.

Yes, I've carved some sculptures out of limestone, e.g. the climber Alexander Huber, to be seen in the video 'Alexander on the Rocks II'. The closest thing to the masonry artwork you're mentioning is probably my marble relief of the Pope in the video 'A long way to Rome'. In this case it's white marble which is basically also a limestone. And finally, to show that working with stone is not without difficulties, there's the video about the cracked little marble lady with dog.

  • In profile it sorta looks like an ape.
