Remembering Patrick and all his brave comrades who gave their lives in the Easter Rising of 1916, and also those who gave their lives long beyond that, including the Hunger Strikers in 1981.
I enjoy the romantic and fiery words of Pearse, he strips Irish Republicanism down to its absolute basics, and sometimes that is exactly how it should be.

I don’t think you have this right, I was referring to 3529 and 256,10… they were specific not general?

I fully recognize the women who fought for independence my granny was one of them, by English dogs I meant the government not normal people. I have no hatred for normal English people nor do I have any hatred for any Scottish, I know our history mo chara and you might think I was neglecting women when I say brave men but it is untrue as I was talking about the brave men in the video. You might think I didn't know any of what you said but you would be wrong.

I'm native Irish myself. The African and Irish slaves often conspired together against their masters. In addition, they often intermarried. The civil rights movement in N.Ireland drew direct inspiration from the civil rights movement led by MLK. If you take a walk around certain areas in west Belfast you'll see murals depicting the commonalities between both struggles. Also, Sinn Fein and the nationalist community have always been big supporters of AA causes.

I'm native Irish, and I can assure you we do not have any affection for Africans nor African Americans nor their struggle. We have always been against them, the Irish POW's that landed in the Caribbean refused to work alongside them. And when they were about to rebel on the islands, blacks betrayed them and told their masters about the rebellion. The Irish were quartered because of this. Never tarnish the name of Ireland by comparing it's struggle to any Africans.

I agree mate. And believe it or not, the real Irish/native Irish have always had a huge affinity for the African American struggle. TAL.

It makes me very sad when people forget the brave women who also fought for Irish freedom - IRISHMEN AND IRISHWOMEN - In the name of God and of the dead generations etc.! And wasn’t his father an “English dog” as you call them, and wasn’t one of Irelands greatest heroes who was at the forefront of opposing cp3529 an “English dog”, and wasn’t the man who implemented 256,10 a “Scotsman”?
