@MrAbbe800 Is this a HiTechnic Color Sensor (and not the LEGO sensor)? And if so, do you know if it is the version 1 to 2 of the HiTechnic Color Sensor? The V1 sensor has two convex lenses while the V2 has one flat and one convex lens. The V1 has a multi-colored LED while the V2 has a bright white LED.

Is that the same color sensor that comes with NXT 2.0?

@SeAnStAmOn No, HiTechnic makes a different Color Sensor than the one included with the NXT 2.0 sets. Either can be used for a project like this.

Hey in the mindstorms 2.0 kit their is a color sensor so u could just use that instead of Hitehnic

That is correct but it should be noted the LEGO color sensor and the HiTechnic color sensor are not the same. The V2 Color Sensor is a more accurate than the LEGO sensor and can also detect colors in passive mode with the LED off.
