  • I think I might have a hernia under my sternum beneath the upper right rib, that rib is sticking out farther than the rest and i feel some pain just under the rib when I do certain movements. If it is a hernia would they have to split my ribs in half like they were doing open heart surgery or would they be able to repair it another way? I ask this because it is under that rib.
