It's Anji's technique of the Juppongata that he taught to Sanosuke. It is where the attacker strikes first with his forefingers, disrupting the object he/she is attacking, then in a .7 of a second turns his hand into a fist and shatters the opponent. Lol I dunno if my explanation made any sense, but that is basically what it is in a nutshell.

But we needed the true reason why Sano was so mad - Shishio just HAD to bring that song back, didn't he? He couldn't let a meme die. So Sanosuke had to end it for good, even if it meant destroying all around him.
