The govt can't ever compete with the free market because it has no profit motive and without knowing or caring about costs, it can't allocate resources effectively. Governments have NEVER operated cost effectively. Yet this clown is trying to tell us that they someone can repeal economic law and suddenly operate efficiently? @Meda01 I know. Idk what Joe is thinking... what about what Weiner is saying does he not understand? There's no incentive for insurance companies to keep prices lower... it's simple. Bring a public option in and let them deal with their problems with competition. I'm sure the insurance company head can survive with a million dollars less per year salary from his usual 10.

One of the big problems of cost is the hospitals, they're basically a local monopoly because they are so sparse. This means that insurance companies have to yield to whatever price the hospitals set as there isn't really another option and the hospitals can turn an insurance company away if they start questioning the price. Under single-payer hospitals wouldn't be able to do that because almost all their customer would come from a single source. Capitalism for the sake of capitalism is stupid

Medicare and Vetrans Health Insurance has .9% admin costs for every dollar compared to 20-30% admin costs and multible reasons for being denied coverage by the private MMO's. WTF is so hard to understand people? Why are Americans so F stupid about these facts? The current Health Bill was watered down by the Repubs but STILL it protects anybody with insurance from getting denied coverage or future coverage due to a "Pre-Existing Condition". Why are Americans so FUCKING dence? My God already lol.

Fuck insurance companies... My friend's relative last year who now has cancer got their policy cancel by Cigna (Private Insurance company) because he did not specify that he had surgery in the past for a foot injury. That a fucking scam that the insurance companies are pulling here. They thought of every single trick in the book to try and fuck someone's life over! FUCK YOU INSURANCE COMPANIES.... I HOPE ALL YOU EXECUTIVES CAN GO TO FUCKING HELL!
