  • Hey Joe I've used a lot of your lessons in trying to learn the steel better. But I agree with Norm he took the words right out of my mouth this lesson makes it a lot clearer to and like Norm said its not boreing like alot of orther stuff thanks again Joe your alright buddy.Right here from Park City Ky.

  • thanks for your kind words I sure wish I could get more videos posted for everyone been working a lot. and feel like I am letting a lot of you nice folks down

  • Hey Joe! Just to make a point-I've got about 40 years of music theory under my belt and usually nothing surprises me. I've got to say that your scale exercises are an excellent and VERY PRACTICAL way to learn the basics on the steel. Actually, they're not boring like single note scales and as you play them you learn your instrument quite well. This is exactly what I've been looking for on the Pedal Steel. Thanks so much for your insight. Norm in Albuquerque

  • @pharnk well thank you Norm for those kind words

  • Joe, Thanks for all of your instruction! Keep it coming!

  • Joe, great lesson, but a Q from an absolute beginner - how do you know which strings you are playing with right hand (assuming you dont have you nose on the back of your hand watching).

  • you are welcome, and thanks for watching

  • Thanks Joe!!
