Joe, great lesson, but a Q from an absolute beginner - how do you know which strings you are playing with right hand (assuming you dont have you nose on the back of your hand watching).

Hey Joe I've used a lot of your lessons in trying to learn the steel better.But I agree with Norm he took the words right out of my mouth this lesson makes it a lot clearer to and like Norm said its not boreing like alot of orther stuff thanks again Joe your alright buddy.Right here from Park City Ky.

Hey Joe! Just to make a point-I've got about 40 years of music theory under my belt and usually nothing surprises me. I've got to say that your scale exercises are an excellent and VERY PRACTICAL way to learn the basics on the steel. Actually, they're not boring like single note scales and as you play them you learn your instrument quite well. This is exactly what I've been looking for on the Pedal Steel.
