Any person entering North Korea under orders of Kim Jong-il has to leave their cell phone with government officials at the port of entry into the country. To enforce this rule, all persons and property is searched for contraband. If your "monitor" who stays with you the entire times catches you with contraband a prison sentence is certain. And as you can guess, there will be peaking done on your electronics. After the person has left the port of entry and is in North Korea the cell phone is sent by a military courier to a military intelligence station. Once at the station the phone undergoes both a physical and data inspection for foreign intelligence connections (ie. MI5, CIA, ect.). All data including the call logs, address book, photos, emails, passwords, phone ID, SIM, and more, is saved to a computer system to be searched, cross-referenced, and stored forever.

  • @LittlePinky82 Yeah.. They have 3g so that it would be easier to spy peoples phone calls.. 3G is made for videocalls and internet but N-Koreans doesn't allow people to use cameras or internet, and with Samsung and Motorola i mean that North Koreans doesn't allow South Korean and American phones in their country

  • @isokessu I dunno if you're talking about NK but they have their own 3g network.

  • @miroku105 I suggest you try reading the Communist Manifesto first. NK isn't communist but quite the opposite. They just think it is cause they've been brainwashed for so many generations now.

  • @SINKID3 There's a good doc from a Chinese woman who did a doc on NK and she had more access since China and NK are friends. She talked about cell phones in NK. Foreigners have to leave their personal phone's but they can rent NK phone's to use while they're there. Citizen's can buy cells but they're very very expensive so I'm guessing only the party elite have them since they can afford them. If you do borrow a phone I'm sure it's spied on.

  • @SINKID3 There's cellphones today but I don't know that can people still use Motorola or samsung xD (American and South Korean phones)

  • Wish NK gets wiped out...

  • North Koreans? They are not stupid!

  • Not just bias but complete bullshit from you. I'm allergic to both. What the hell is the point of living if some people can't find a job in the US for a whole damn year.

  • wat a paranoid nation

any sercret organsation is a bad one

  • HELL we do that now its a past time of ours called streaking. I guess we have those rightes and freedomes that we enjoy in a democratic society.
