@theborgrif actually... I find this to be the case in any job..... especially if one can't keep up with the other workers, I used to work at a high-end department store in the local shopping mall. They were so uppity and snobbish to me becuase I couldn't learn how to use the register as fast as the other trainees did. They laid me off in a "nice" way by saying, "Oh, due to economic hardships, our budget is low, so we'll will have to reduce your hours to only 7 hours a week."
