bts-- Chapter Sixteen

NICKS POV:
I sat in the living room, working on the piano and searching for the right melody. I had been working on this song for quite some time now. I had sheets filled with a story, just waiting to be told. I sighed and began to sing, "I don't want to lose her. Don't want to let her go." I slammed the keys. Why was this song so hard for me? Usually I could finish a song within a half hour, but there was just something about this one that had me stumped. "I'm missing something." I said to myself. Then it hit me. I knew exactly what was missing. Miley. I smiled and ran to the closest phone. I dialed her number at lightning speed, and she answered right away. "Hello." she said, her sweet voice filling me with joy. "Hey Mi! Look, I really need your help with a song. Can you come over?" I said. "Sure!" she replied, sounding incredibly excited, "I'll see you in like, ten minutes." We hung up the phone, and I made my way back to the piano. She arrived soon after and I greeted her at the door. She looked stunning as always. Her beautiful, soft hair pulled back into a ponytail. Her blue eyes shining, with not a single trace of makeup on her already flawless face. She was a natural beauty. "Hey there." I said softly. She bit her lip and I pulled her into a soft kiss. Everytime we kissed, it was like time stood still. Magic filled the air. "Hey." she whispered, pulling away. I smiled and grabbed her hand. I led her towards my old piano and she sat beside me on the bench. "So what do you need help with?" she asked. I pointed at the song lyrics, lying on the ground. She picked them up and began to read, "I know this isn't what I wanted. Never thought it'd come this far. Just thinking back to where we started, and how we lost all that we are." She continued reading, her eyes welling with tears. "This is beautiful, Nick." she said. I blushed and she kissed my cheek. "I was having a hard time with the melody and then I realized that there was something missing." I said. She looked confused. "What's missing? The song is great." she said. "Your voice." I said, "The song wouldn't feel right unless you were singing it with me." She smiled and leaned in closer to my face. She kissed me softly, lingering on my lips. "I would love to sing with you." she whispered. Together, we looked over the lyrics, making slight changes. We wanted this song to be our song. Our story put to music. By the end of the editing process, we both had tears flowing down our cheeks. I pulled her into a tight hug and she smiled. "I love you so much, and I'm so glad we're going to do this song together." she said. I kissed the top of her head. "Me too." I replied.

MILEYS POV:
He began to play the piano, trying different notes each time. I played along with him, adding my own touches here and there. I couldn't believe it. After all the things that have happened between us, the spark is still alive and thriving. "Mi, let's take it from the chorus." he said. I nodded and began to sing. "Standing out in the rain, need to know if it's over. Cause I will leave you alone." My heart was racing. Countless memories were running through my head. Nick looked up into my eyes and continued, "Flooded with all this pain, knowing that I'll never hold her. Like I did, before the storm." Tears escaped from my eyes. I grabbed Nick's face and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss. Every fiber of my body tingled as his lips pressed against mine. He placed his hands around my waist, and I could feel the heat of his body radiating. Slowly, we pulled away and I whispered, "The storm is over."

Somehow- I think this is really similar to how BTS was actually written :) LOL
