hey Kern, im thinking of getting this box. How has it been so far? Any skipping? is the dvr function working great. Im also thinking about getting this with the logitech Revue google box.

@bsc285 So far I have been really pleased with it and have had zero issues. There has been no skipping at all.

You might want to look at the compatability with the Revue as it supports other dish recievers but not the 922 yet so you wont be able to use the advanced features the Revue box offers.

I have heard the Revue will support the 922 eventually though.

i used to work for dish until march, i just remember this device kept being pushed back further and further. looks nice tho, nice video im still iffy on whether to upgrade from the 722. does it have pandora and other aps, web browser etc...?

4/4 I have 26 episodes of “Boy Meets World” recorded. I also have every episode set to Auto Tune (it’s such a pleasant way to wake up). I always have to go in and manually Restore those timers, making the “Auto” in “Auto Tune” a bit of a joke. Does this DVR Skip programs that are set to Auto Tune if they’re already recorded? It’s not a deal breaker, but if the answer is “No”, it’ll be even more icing on the cake. Thank you so much for your time. Have a great day!

3/4 I’m bedridden; hence, just the windows in my bedroom are blacked out. So, even though the color of the Guide was the second thing that attracted me to this DVR, it’s actually at the very top of my list of reasons to get it. The graphical UI and Sling are just icing on the cake. With all that said, I do have one question that I haven’t found an answer for elsewhere on the Internet. My current DVR has an annoying habit. If I already have something recorded, it Skips its Auto Tune timer…

2/4 After learning about that feature, I did some more research. And so, the second thing that really attracted me to this DVR was the fact that the Guide’s background is dark with white lettering. My current DVR’s Guide has a white background with blue lettering. You see, I have advanced Multiple Sclerosis, and all this white just kills my eyes. I even have anti-glare Transitions eyeglasses and have the windows in my bedroom blacked out to limit the amount of light my eyes are exposed to…

1/4 I currently have the Standard Definition 522 DuoDVR. I will be upgrading to this DVR in the very near future. Oddly enough, it wasn’t the graphical UI, or Sling, that attracted me to it. The first thing that did attract me was the fact that it has a 1 terabyte hard drive. I could have a High Definition DVR, without having to purchase an additional external hard drive. I have OCD, and the mere look of additional equipment would be jarring to my senses…

i am thinking about upgrading from 4 301(standard definion) 9 year old boxes to this and getting 2 of these. can the the 2 DVRs talk to each other so i can record on one dvr and watch on other dvr??

this review is very slow..he talks very slow and drawn out..makes the review hard to watch
