If your heart is there, yes.
If you don't have the passion, no.

I feel the same a lot, I'm also a perfectionist, and I'm rarely satisfied with my work..

I'm a graphic designer and I find that music is a great escape when your brain is overloaded with doubts and frustrations. I have some really great Westone 3 IEM's paired with my iPhone. Having great headphones does make a difference in my level of relaxation. When I'm immersed in the music it's a wonderful escape from a creative block. It's likely to clear your thoughts and help you refocus. Try it next time you are on the edge. Relax...with the sound of music.

The only time I feel stressed and somehow depressed is making logo designs. At first your exited with tons of ideas then later on clients would want you to make other revisions multiple times until you eventual burn out of ideas. And the clients arent being clear of what they want.

My job rarely causes depression, i love it too much, sadly i just suffer from general clinical depression, design is a way for me to escape it.
I recently designed a depression awareness campaign. Maybe i should have aimed it at designers :)

I've gone through some depression with design myself. I burned out during my last internship. Made a few hazy decisions and got into some bad situations. Luckily enough I got an opportunity to move into a bigger city where I didn't feel so cramped, meet some new people and start testing out what life in the freelance world was about. I still am trying to get my portfolio together. I still would be anyways. I have learned that the best thing to do in this situation is to get out and enjoy life.

I can relate!
Some days I have the ideas, but can't get them to materialize, then other days I can't get an idea and end up wasting the day doing nothing.
But then there are highs as well as the lows and that's the joy of being creative.
That's a pretty general question, and you'll get a different answer from different people. The industry has been good for me. I may do a video to go into it more.
