Marlin 336 Jesus Christ it does have kick!

This is a video of shooting with my family at Wenatchee Gun Club in East Wenatchee Washington.

The Shooter: my dad, 90 years awesome WWII Badass he's makin kill shots at like 40 yards not too special except for the shooter.

We're shooting, amongst other things, a Marlin 336c Lever action rifle in .30-30 winchester, black walnut stock, with an xs sight systems lever rail mounting system.

I was talking about the name for the video, NOT the guy shooting.

I've seen plenty of old timers at least this age shooting the .30-30, and I have yet to hear complaints about the recoil.

Matter of fact, it's considered one of the mildest recoiling rounds suitable for deer.

If you want punishment, fire a bolt action .30-06 with a hard buttplate from the bench with full powered loads.

That gets to be fairly painful after about the twentieth shot.

Just saying that the topic really overstates it.

Try shooting a .500 S&W Magnum, THEN you can talk about kick.

That .30-30 Marlin 336 is one of the more mild rounds out there, and that's not just my opinion.
