  • Cer1n, jajajaja what did you drink?? His voice, besides being hooted and pressed, lacks of a decent range therefore he pushed himself into dramatic roles and became the master in transposing. However I would not dare to mention PM in the same sentence with Vickers, Vinay or Tucker. His acting is at the most good for a school theater. He just plays himself!! And as far as this aria is concerned just listen to Franco Corelli, the best Chenier!!

  • Bullshit!! PD and 3 octaves, perhaps in his and in your dreams! In the reality he can not even sing 2 octaves but it seems you dont even know what an octave means. The quality of your comment and PD voice quality seem to have a lot in common. But it is your right to praise mediocrity.

  • This a great performance, shame on all the naysayers!

  • HES PRETTY YOUNG HERE AND ITS EVIDENT THAT THE ROLE IS JUST TOO BIG FOR HIM. HE SOUNDS BETTER IN MORE LYRIC ROLES LIKE RIGOLETTO AND MAYBE BUTTERFLY

  • @Vielflieger01 It seems that with a voice hooted and pressed, without decent range and being master in transposing it was is needed to be the number one tenor of his age (or -for many- in history).

This arguments are silly, show ignorance and envy.

So do you think Vickers or Vinay (!!!) were better than Domingo in italian opera?... ABSURD. So Tucker is better even if with a voice gloriuos has an antique singing? Corelli´s musical line is better than Domingo´s? IT IS NOT. LISTEN AND LEARN

  • What is with the utube comments? 130 roles and counting, career of almost 40 years, vocal health over the whole time, greatest Otello of his time, excellent stage performer. What else does he have to do to satisfy the demands of utube critics.

  • baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad........ today it's not possible to listen to him... but 30 years ago it was really worse!!

  • Which opinion? I forgot by now :D

  • It is funny to me that all the ones that dislike Domingo watch almost all of his videos. I call that masoquism.

  • I share your oppinion
