the funny thing about this song is the writter who wrote this was being sued by the WCR company. As the court was held in Ennis Percy ''the writer'' was almost an hour late and told the judge about his absence and he said, in quote ''I took the west claire railway here your honor'' Immediately the judge said case dismissed.

takes me back to the eighties when my granddad took me to see his parents farm in kilkee saw the engine on the side of the road looking all forlawn. i hear the west coast railway has reopened and the enigne restored by locals
