Thank you for these photos. I was there in snow around 24-26 January 2004. I stayed in a mountain rescue hut at Pestera. There is an amazing basiilca nearby, with stunning pictures on the walls from the Bible. You go through it to some fantastic caves. We needed chains to get the car up from the valley to the hotel car park, and we passed horses pulling logs on the way up. The snow was too deep to go very far - what an adventure ! A friend of mine runs the hut, and I hope to go back one day.

și când mă gândesc că tot mai mulți țărănoi își fac ca proștii vacanțele în străinătate,când e așa de fain la noi în țară..ba aud tot felul de neaveniți jegoși,de fii de comuniști nenorociți,snobi și parveniți,cum își fac ei vacanțele în gRECIA,Bulgaria,Maroc și unde pula mea s-or duce,îmi vine să-i fut în gât..ba uneori unii mai și zic că le e scârbă de România,că nu le place.Băga-mi-aș pula-n fața lor de țărani sclifosiți și curve ordinare..ăștia se duc prin țări exotice cu banii din furat
