During the cold war, that pilot was seduced by a female Mossad agent. She convinced him to defect from Iraq and to bring them the new soviet Mig-23 (not 21). It was considered the most advanced plane at that time and all western powers wanted to study it.

The rest about Saddam killing the jews are just Zionist false accusations to legetimate the gulf wars. They do that quite often actually and Saddam wasn't that dumb to give them such a wonderful opportunity to invade him.

The jewish neighbouhood and market near Nadjaf along with the tomb of Ezechiel remain always there as historical heritage. It's all the same for all Arab countries from Morocco to Syria and Jordan.
