  • what is the song in the start of the film in the party scene at the security guards workplace??

  • @Juantizzle The song is called "You Hooked Me Baby" and was written by Sam Taylor according to my windows link up.

Unfortunately many of the songs featured in the film do not exist on a soundtrack. Several were created just to fill the void in the "background story of The Swanky Modes"... when i asked him in a Q&A session at the NEW BEVERLY CINEMA in LA, director Bill Fishman noted that the other songs exist "somewhere in my tape collection"..

  • @miasmicmatt Also of significant note... the session musicians used for each "ERA" of the soundtrack were chosen from those respective eras... I believe he said he'd gotten Booker T and the MG's as well to do some of the backing tracks... It's a shame some of this stuff isn't out there despite the suggestion that it is... I'll remember to post the remaining tracks from the soundtrack that i DO have

  • SWANKY MODES!!!......Nice post....Tapeheads is one of my favorite films of all time.Is there any way you could post the BLENDER CHILDREN Mr. MX7 song???If not,Thanks for this one,& Good Job!STAY FROSTY!

  • @stainlesstig That song isn't featured on the soundtrack... i asked about it at a recent Revival Screening in Los Angeles... wish i would have bugged him more about it... but as of now... probably tied up in catalogue... i can't find it but you might try to look up Stiv Bators for that... maybe they all recorded it in another format.

  • hi, could you possibly tell me what is the name of the song in john cusack´s dance on the roof scene? thanx a lot

  • Oh wow...i've been trying to get back to this (WHEN I HAD TIME TO)... haha... i actually watched the film a week ago... listened to the commentary track (again) and found out the production designers had made actual phony album covers for different eras of "the modes".... the song you're asking about is marked in the Credits:

THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT WAR STUFF...its not featured on the soundtrack i have. Written by Michele Vice and Larry Treadwell. Prod by Raymond Jones. Hope that helps.
