*sigh* back when it was Google and Apple against the world. They were bros. Good times. I wish they could go back to that.

Steve Jobs didn't see that at first! as he told, Google would make iphone much better (maps and other apps) but they got jealous of iphone success so started to compete, bu Steve didn't really expected that

    Double Thumbs up.

I'm a Google fan right down to their ethics and Motto.

Now Apple doesn't want to have anything to do with Google.

They're removing all those features that they were just talking about in that video, now it blew up in their face.

While Google is working on inter-dependance and partnering with other companies (+1 to that); Apple is trying to be as independent as possible, I guess they're anti-social or something.

I can see why jobs would be mad at Schmidt.

    Apple Maps=Hilarius.

Exactly. To me,android wasn't that nice in gingerbread or older versions. It did have more features than iOS but it was pretty laggy and the OS felt incomplete for some reason...ICS is a complete revamp of the OS,it became not so laggy like before while having even more features.Jelly bean adds smoothness and more features, key lime pie will make the OS even more smooth because google said they will continue on improving project butter.

I respectfully disagree. I've been using the Nexus One (2010) and Galaxy Nexus (2011) and also own the 3rd gen iPad and Nexus 7. I test a lot of devices. While it's true that older versions of Android had their share of problems, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a pleasure to use (ICS was the turning point). There's a reason Google sees 1 million devices activated each day.

"Each company should do the absolute best thing that they can do, every time".

yet google tries making an os and a phone. so apple decides to make maps.

    *facepalm.

why not accept defeat google? do the best thing you do and stay with data and internet. android sucks.

"Each company should do the absolute best thing that they can do, every time". True in 2007. Sadly no longer the case with iOS 6 Maps. Data and mapping was never Apple's core competency, and clearly won't be for some time.
